Measure the total vertical rise (top of bottom step to top of landing) in inches. Divide by 4 (Indian compact slope) or 12 (international gentle slope) to get the minimum ramp length in feet. Example: 24 in rise ÷ 4 = 6 ft ramp.

2. What slope does Indian law recommend?
